 Now that we are officially heading into the cooler months, its time to get your bar on! It's no secret we are less active, socially, in the cooler months so why not counter act this unfortunate side effect of frigid temperatures by getting your home bar ready! Matt and I love to entertain and cook so it is imperative we are prepared for our guests. So anti-up girls because I'm raising the bar. ;)

 I am lucky enough to have inherited this gorgeous wood-inlay Italian bar cart from my grandmother. Craftsmanship like this seems to have died decades ago but luckily these artists created more than one of these breath-taking heirloom pieces. I actually found some very similar options on Ebay. Since a bar cart is going to be a lifetime piece, I recommend you invest in a nice one that will last you a lifetime! If you're a bit more of a modernist, this is a great option for you!

 I prefer to always place my bar items on a serving tray on top of my cart for two reasons. One, I don't want anything scratching my 100 year old vintage masterpiece and two, for ease and mobility! A little trick I've picked up, its difficult to supply ALL the liquor your guests prefer but you can always buy personal sizes. They'll feel special you remembered their favorite drink and you won't have to break the bank buying the entire store. This is the serving tray I picked up at Target and its only $17!

 (Aren't these little decanter tags just the cutest way to identify your stored liquor?)
You can find a slew of decanters at high end retail stores all the way down to your local thrift store. Check out these I found;

Accessories are a HUGE part of creating a successful bar. Of course you need to make sure you have every type of opener for which ever bottles you're serving. I've actually been to homes that don't own a wine opener if you're 21 and older girlfriends... time to invest! Another helpful wine accessory would definitely be my Vinturi Aerator! Ever notice people swirling their red wine? It's a term referred to as "Letting the wine breathe." Allowing the wine to "air out" will help bring out the natural flavors and aromas that give you the full taste. If you use an aerator then you don't have to swirl your wine (and risk spilling). Win - Win!

 I always keep the bottom part of my cart stocked with more liquor choices and extra glasses. Your stemware is another good item to invest in. There are several different types of drink ware for alcoholic beverages. The most common styles are, the wine glass, the short stout bourbon/whiskey/scotch glass and the large tumbler for mixed drinks. If you're just getting started check out this 5 piece set. *Parti Tip* If you really want to impress your guests, set out a cup of wedged limes, lemons, mint and tonic water so guests can garnish their drinks.

Thanks so much for continuing to support and read my material! I love writing and researching for you all and I always love to hear what you have to say! Remember I am on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and you can also email me at BeauxMondeParti@gmail.com.

Happy Shopping and Please Parti Responsibly!
